Christian Deliverance

The following series of Christian Deliverance Scripture MP3s have been selected for those of us who find we struggle with some form of destructive addiction.

Our pastor recently pointed out that as long as we have our eyes on the sin that has us in its grasp, we will continue in that sin.

For example, have you ever been driving your car and thought to yourself, “Don’t let me run over that mailbox!” Of course not, you keep your eyes on the road. Isn’t this is how you avoid the mailbox? You look at where you are going, not what you are trying to avoid.

Jesus is our road, ya’ll. To put it the way we would here in Texas. When we are tempted, if we’ll get our eyes off that temptation and get them on Him, we can “steer clear” of ‘that which would beset us’.

As humans, we are prone to additions, so instead of trying to leave your addiction behind, exchange it. Trade the bad one out, and reach for a good one, meditation on His Word, for example.

And one last thought, it is a work in progress. Do not beat yourself up if you fail sometimes. Just get up, dust yourself off, and get your eyes right back on Jesus, your road.
